Dr. Brown feels blessed to be a part of such an incredible profession. Orthodontics allows him to work with people who value oral health and beauty. It is extremely satisfying to see the transformation in his patients’ health, appearance, and confidence. It affords him the opportunity to work with patients of all ages and in many different stages of life. It is fun and exciting to see them grow and change. It is gratifying to see how enjoyable the experience can be for his patients and team.
Dr. Ashley Schaaf – DDS
Dr. Ashley Schaaf was born and raised in Pinehurst, North Carolina, and now proudly calls Portland home. She first fell in love with Oregon during a family camping trip in 2009 and was drawn to its natural beauty, vibrant culture, and strong sense of community.
Dr. Ashley earned her Bachelor of Arts and Master’s in Public Health from Emory University, where she was inducted into the AKD Honor Society and competed in both volleyball and track. She went on to receive her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry, where she was awarded the Albert Schweitzer Fellowship for her community-based Mouthguard Program that served over 600 young athletes. She completed her pediatric dental residency at the University of California, Los Angeles, earning her specialty certificate in Pediatric Dentistry.
With a strong foundation in public health and a heart for children, Dr. Ashley is passionate about helping kids build lifelong healthy habits in a fun, encouraging environment. She is dedicated to providing gentle, personalized care for patients of all ages, including those with special health care needs, and strives to make every visit positive, comfortable, and confidence-building.
Active in both her profession and community, Dr. Ashley has served as a Public Policy Advocate for the Oregon Dental Association and is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the Oregon Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and Oregon Dental Association. Beyond the office, she’s deeply involved in local youth sports and volunteer work, having coached volleyball, lacrosse, and soccer, and served on the National Charity League board, helping foster leadership and philanthropy among young people.
